WK 1:Beyond Belief: Session 2

In this part of the conference meeting i found it very incredible that this next speaker, Neil deGrasse Tyson included information on scientists that were from that pass such as in talking about Galileo talking to the dutchess. The statement that she said was incredible, the bible tells us how to get to heaven, not how heaven is and works. That honestly took my breath away. It is so weird how people from back then, can make a human being such as in in today's time, think about so many things and respect them for having the knowledge they did. Neil did bring humor to the crowd though, but at some point i found that offensive that he was just making fun of everything else that wasn't in his belief. It did bring to my attention the offensive ending, why 15 percent don't reject god. But not in the matter of my religion and beliefs, but why not let other people that do believe in religion, let them be rule their own life. I know that critical thinkers, or these speakers, make all other religions a joke but we have to see that others live their life throughout their religion. Its a bizarre world to live, but at the same time we do live in it like Sam Harris said.
