This article was something that i found interesting because it was talking about how us human beings never try to doubt something that already has been published as being scientifically correct. Richard Feynman gives a such clear minded thoughts to us that make me wonder how a human being can be so intelligent and gifted to want to know about things that others wont even bother knowing. Cargo cult science to me at first sounded like a cult in where people do things and that first result they get, without experimenting it again, that is their results. I guess when i was reading through this article, i found that my definition was not quite exact but something close to it.
The thing that i found interesting was the part of the rat testing. The scientist, Mr.Young, that was testing the rats did not know why the rats kept on going right through the door that had the food and of course, automatically everyone would think because of the smell of the food. That was incorrect and i actually admire the tester for trying to find solutions and ways to get to train the rats to enter through the third door. I liked how instead of others telling him to stop because there was no solution for it, Feynman gave him advice on what might be triggering the rats to go through the door with the food and of course his advice was the right thing. Its incredible because honestly, i would of never thought of changing the sound of the floor they were stepping on to get them to be trained to enter the third door. Only Richard. But i did like his ending statement, May we have that freedom to not lose our integrity.
