Wk 1 &2: Believer Skeptic
Got to start off with what a great book to make your head hurt. What Professor Lane has written and tried to explain, is too difficult to take in at first but slowly things start to break down little by little. I just don't get it why so much hate towards Wilber. I mean, i know he thinks differently and such but if that's his way of thinking, why take him down? I like the concept of the book though. One thing that i did take out of it was those misconceptions that all of us have about miracles. Maybe they just are things that happen on a normal basis, plenty times a day and we don't even notice it but only tend to notice it when we want to. I liked the example given about Feynman's experience compared to that one of Wilber's. I honestly would of thought Feynman's experience with his wife's death and the clock stopping right as she passed away, would of been such an incredible miracle. Honestly, who would not think that it would be one? Only those that think critically and analyze things too much , such as is Feynman would believe it was just the clocks en of time and it had nothing to do with his wife's death. Come on, that must take something to believe there is no connection there. WOW! But in ending, great book on explaining on how evolution happens as time passes by and mutates, rather than thinking it is something magical as interpreted by Wilber.
