WK 4: Why i am not a christian

From the insight of Bertrand Russell's mind, it is obvious he has had some serious discussions and researching tools for saying that being a Christian is not the same as before. What he says does make sense to me and i actually can relate. I like it how he says that if God put us here for a reason and created everything around us, and which we all have a purpose, then what is his purpose? Who created God must of been a question that i have never really thought about it until today when reading this article. Russell has many reasons not to believe in Christianity and has a total passage way to think that all those who think they are ones, just do it to feel safer. I think its true and agree with Russell. We humans don't know what else is out there since we are so insignificant when looking at the whole picture, and just need that assurance of someone bigger than us. Like him talking about " a big brother" of some sort.
It just makes so much better sense when i am reading this and actually putting the pieces together. If Christ is good and would want the best for all of us, then like Russell explains, then why would he want some to burn in hell forever for sins they committed? IT MAKES SENSE! People , i think made up an image of someone more powering than us "God" to make us feel safe and live by rules that were probably or even just made by them back in the day to make it all more real.
