WK 7: John Polkinghorne
John Polkinghorne seemed like a person that is so simple and does not hate on others that do not believe in what he believes is. I think it is quite interesting how one physiscits can work with science and religion and mix in both beliefs and go on with life like if nothing is wrong with that. Well, i am not saying there is something wrong with that but to know that there is a possiblility that religion and science does go together and one without the other, is nothing just makes the whole scenario more confusing to me. I really enjoyed Polkinghorne's beliefs such as he does believe there is a divine mind that is not produced within the universe, but out of it. Also as he says that universe has a divine purpose, just makes me think then why dont all people think like this? i do agree with him when he says that the world is much weirder than we imagine it because just there is no possible way to find out all the facts that are real and what really is true. I also enjoyed him talking about how he pictures a personal God within him even though he does not match the God we think of. It is difficult to picture a God because he is such a big mystery as he says, makes me think that it is true. He is a big mystery, we actually do not know much about him.
