WK 7: Nietzsche
The article The Good and the evil by Nietzsche gives an overall impression at first sight. Obviously he is upset at the fact that philosophers mess with others mind into believing their findings about the mystery that this universe holds. I like it how in kind of a way he insults philosophers by calling them cobweb-spinners of the mind. To think about it, that definition really fits in because all they do is make us human more confused than what we already are. Do we really need to know the truth? I mean, we all are going to die and living and struggling to find the truth might just keep us from enjoying our "short" lives, in my opinion. Nietzsche's judgment toward specific fields were at some point, unnecessary because there was just so much experience that we do not have there. I mean back in Nietzche's time, things were different and he would have a different point of view from things that go on now a days than back then. I ask myself, could he of been mad while working on this piece of literature of did he really feel like jotting all of this down and bringing it out to the public. For him thinking that christianity is just a foolish way for some to comfort failure,as a matter of fact that is a great line because if you really understand if you put the pieces together. Religion and Christianity comfort a human being even though we know that there is no evidence that it exists but in our mind and soul, it makes us feel emotionally better and ready to take on whatever if we progress with it. What i found interesting as well is the way he spoke about women down sizing ourselves. Pretty much stating that women are reprogressing and not progressing for the better of the future. I think that he could be saying this because he obviously thinks that women should be up there with men , or am i wrong? Or does he mean it in a way that we should not progress ourselves and always stay where men put us, in our place?
