WK 5/6: An intro to Crtical thinking
The fact that someone can actually think about these things and jot them on paper and expose them to members of society such as students, i think is incredible. I mean Critical thinking is word that is hard to define for those who do not know what to think critically means. I guess it was interesting to find out that in order to succeed thinking critically, you must have a teacher that knows the curriculum well and knows how to think critically. I agree with Clement and Lochhead as they say that we should teach students how to think but instead we are teaching them what to think. Exactly, i think this society is trained to train other people to think like them and to do exactly as others. For some reason, i kind of think that the whole system is placed to make everybody else workers instead of successors and owners. But in order to gain excellence in thinking critically, first off as the reading says we must get a hold of a good teacher who knows how to teach it and out ourselves through more thinking homework assignments instead of just doing them. Make our minds develop and try harder. I liked this article because it kind of gave me hints on what to do next on my assignments so i can try a little harder.
